Cobblestone Beach?

My slight exposure to beaches in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was that ALL beaches should be named cobblestone. I don't think I ever saw one that was equipped with actual sand. And the water was ever so cold. Don't know why we went.

A safe bet

Without looking it up, I'll guess that this fine hotel burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp.

Long Life Ahead

The fire didn't happen until December 11, 1958. The floor plan (at least as it existed in the 1930s) can be seen here. Lots of pix of the grounds and surrounding areas at this postcard site.

Shocked! I says.

To find out this establishment burned down.
