Film

I must say, this is a great example of the effect of halation on a thick film emulsion - and, in the streetlight on the very far right, an example of the sabbatier effect, as well. Sorry, just being a vintage photography nerd.

[No film was used in the making of this photograph. Film as we know it today did not exist in 1913. This picture was exposed on a glass plate. - Dave]

Electric lights? Bah!

I love the light up advertisement "Use Electric Light". I guess that was for all those people in 1913 that still didn't think that the whole "electric lights" thing was going to take off.
