The 1910 US Federal Census shows a John Bachman, aged 12, as a pupil at St. John's Home, St Mark's Avenue, Brooklyn Ward 24, Kings County, New York. It is presumably the same boy, as his father is shown as being born in Germany, mother in New York.
Born in New Bedford May 31, 1897, according to his WWI draft card. Father Robert Bachman, born in Riechenbach, Germany.
