Teen Dance Party: Now in Color!

For some reason, I felt like colorizing this one, originally submitted by Tony W. I did not achieve perfection, but as it's an incredibly time consuming process, this will have to suffice. View full size.

Unreal!

This picture is incredible.

My grandparents had that exact same pattern sofa in their living room. The same shade of green too!

And those curtains! I live in a house built in 1949 and I am currently sitting about five feet from the original curtains. If they were cleaned, they would almost match the ones in the picture.

Color choices

The color choices seem quite appropriate for the period, particularly the drapes and wallpaper. The sofa, too; it seems like I've seen scads of examples just that shade, and the colorizing somehow makes almost possible to feel the distinctive textures of that kind of upholstery, the frizzy design against the satiny background. Perhaps the real room wasn't quite so color-coordinated, but it wouldn't have been out of the question, either.

Wow!

This is great! It's like a mix of those old hand painted photos from a 100 years ago mixed with Warhol. I appreciate the effort you put into this.
