Centennial dress up: 1952

Aunt Marjorie (Tyler) and her husband, Buren Craven, weren't quite as old as this picture may make them appear. His beard and their clothes were part of Thomasville, North Carolina's Centennial celebration in September, 1952. Mom has noted on the back of the photo, "Marjorie is amused - almost ready to burst into laughter. She's wearing our great grandmother's dolman [and a skirt she] made for the occasion."
