The story this photo suggests to me is that the guitar player and his date were ready to leave for an evening on the town when the photographer talked him into playing a number for the boys. Her dad isn't impressed and is thinking that this smooth punk had better not lay a finger on his daughter. The poor boys enjoy the music even though the player may not be very good.
