New York Central "Pacific" #3035: c.1920

Thanks to Lost World I was able to confirm this is the engine he said it was in his comment. It was one of twenty the NYC received in 1911 from The American Locomotive Company (ALCO). Up-state central New York. Scanned from the original 7x5 inch glass negative.

New York Central

Pacific type, Class K-10A #3035. Built by American Locomotive in 1910. NYC did indeed own their share of Pacifics before pioneering the Hudson type.

Possibly a 4-6-2 Pacific

I can't see the railroad name on the tender, but it looks rather like a Baldwin 4-6-2 Pacific type. That would fit, because that type was used by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western (DL&W) in Central NY.
