Defenestration I don't know about the rest of the country but here in NYC, drug store windows are not dressed with merchandise. Just about every one of the Duane Reade (Walgreen's owned), CVS and Rite Aid pharmacy's have paper signs touting vaccinations and acceptance of insurance plans but no merchandise in their windows. About half the space in the stores are for groceries. However, their newer stores leave the windows uncovered and the entire inside is open to view.

Ludicrous, maybe But useful. Years ago, my Weimaraner developed a fungal condition on his paws from walks through wet grass, and his vet recommended dog galoshes. They gave him the gait of a Tennessee Walker and amused the neighborhood children no end, but enabled him to recover rather quickly. Similar paw-gear is widely used for search and rescue dogs and other canine working stiffs; a sore paw can severely limit any dog's mobility and unprotected, they rarely get better.
