(To query the database click here.) Many were digitized by LOC contractors using a Sinar studio back. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

The circa 1941 photo, of a woman in front of a frame building flying the U.S. and Georgia colors, is attributed to Jack Delano although it bears the notation "Possibly photographed by Marion Post Wolcott."
