Family Photo, circa 1900

This is a family shot, taken circa 1900, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. At the time, the "clan" operated a successful cannery (Union Jack brand, "one grade only, and that the best") that processed all varieties of local fruits and vegetables, including peaches, pears, cherries, strawberries, tomatoes and waxed beans. My grandfather is second in from the left, middle row. He looks to be dreaming about something - I think I take after him. View full size.
