From the collection of film and 4x5 glass negatives I recently purchased; they seem to be circa 1912, taken in upstate New York. This is one of my favorites. The love and pride are evident. It occurred to me, looking at this, was that this child is a contemporary of my father, who was born in 1908 and died three months after his 91st birthday in 2000, and I wondered about his life in that context.
