Our holdings include hundreds of glass and film negatives/transparencies that we've scanned ourselves; in addition, many other photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs) in the Library of Congress research archive. Note the aerial photo currently in the comments of the 1923 photo is of the west side of 4600 block of 8th (4700 block is between Crittenden and Decatur).
