Bobcat for supper

My grandfather, Walton Scites (1883-1945), left, and an unknown friend with a freshly-shot bobcat and nosy dog, taken in Lincoln County, West Virginia, probably around 1905. Bobcats must have been pretty common around there. That was the name of the high school team, and also the downtown restaurant. We still have the Marlin 25-20 Rifle that the friend is holding. It hasn't been fired in 70 years or so. View full size.
