My grandfather, William Tyler Page, was born in 1868. At the age of 13, he became a page in the House of Representatives in Washington,, D.C. and remained employed there for 61 years. He is best known as the author of "The American's Creed" written in 1918 during World War 1. He served as Clerk of the House from 1919-1933, then became Clerk to the Minority, serving in that position until his death in October 1942. View full size.
