Fred Carpenter and his wife, Nell (Pickering) Carpenter, in their finery on their wedding day, 1909. Family history has it they spent the scandalous amount of $13.10 on their week-long wedding trip! Fred was from Surry, NH; Nell was from nearby Gilsum. They settled in Keene.
