My mother and grandfather on the small-gauge railway up to Mount Snowdon, in Wales, c. 1931. Scanned from a negative. The mustache worn by my grandfather was a common one even during WWII. It wasn't until after the war that people seem to have seen this as a "Hitler Mustache" instead of a common mustache that Hitler happened to favor. Grandfather still had the same mustache up until he died between VE Day and VJ Day. I haven't yet been able to identify the railway that this train belonged to. The one still in the business says it isn't theirs.
