VINTAGRAPH • WPA • WWII • YOU MEAN A WOMAN CAN OPEN IT?

So Sad

This would have been 1956, or so, and our parents have left us with our grandparents. Not a nice thing in the eyes of little ones. I am crying in the door way and my cousin, Cynthia, older and bossy, is pouting in the window. Grandfather has his hand on my shoulder and Grandmother is holding my brother, George.
Incidentally, Cynthia grew up to be an exceptionally nice woman. 35mm Kodachrome slide taken near Blandinsville, Illinois. View full size.
