They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

I found myself admiring the dapper men on the right. Granted, we're a pretty casual society now, and that's comfortable, but sometimes there's nothing finer than a well-dressed man or woman.
Looking closer at this photo, it appears that there are many people from all the ghost images -- mostly feet, as the footfall would be still for a bit longer for the image to form.
