Swiss Colony: 1962

Swiss Colony Winery near Fresno, Calif. 1962. A Kodachrome II slide, dated May of 1962. From a huge box of slides found in a thrift store on 9-12-2012. I think the wagon is a 1954 Mercury Monterey. View full size.

Other car

Car on the right is a c53-54 Ford or Mercury hardtop that has been customized with c56 Buick tail lights and '56 Mercury Monterey u-shaped trim on the door tops under the side windows. Looks also to have front grille changes.

I remember Italian Swiss

This was our usual wine when I was in college.
It was priced right.
For festive occasions, they had champagne, and even pink champagne.

Does anyone...

remember the ads for this with the Little Old Wine Maker?

Also, I want the Woody!

Swiss Colony Winery

Clovis Ave, near Sunnyside Drive-In. I remember driving by here all the time in 1972.
