About the Photos

Most of the photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs, 20 to 200 megabytes in size) from the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) Many were digitized by LOC contractors using a Sinar studio back. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

Hoppin' down the bunny trail

I have an entire book of these photos that I inherited from my mom. It's called Down Easter Bunny Lane, I think. It's full of dressed up bunnies, kittens, etc. Amazing what patience this photographer must have had. I love these!

Ah, I see!

You are posting these in order of increasing creepiness, right?

The Cat's Face

says it all.
