Stop the redundancy!

Why the electric stop light AND what appears to be an octagonal stop sign? I would be confused if the stop light said go and the stop sign said stop. I would flip my lid too!

Wayward Buicks

It looks like another 1953 Buick was involved in an accident in Oakland. What's going on with these Buicks? This was a Special Riviera hardtop. The police car is a 1959 Ford.

Crowd Pleaser

It's amusing how many people would jump out bed in the middle of the night and, clad in only their pajamas, amble out into the street to gawk at the scene of a neighborhood accident. Nowadays you can't get within a hundred feet of an accident scene unless you were involved in it. Outstanding photos! Keep 'em coming!

Ambulance awaits

When I was a kid, the neighbor across the street's family owned the local funeral home which ironically provided the local ambulance service to a much larger neighboring community. I have no idea if the neighbor had any medical training or anyway to assist the victims he was hauling to the hospital while he was driving the ambulance, but he obviously had a conflict of interest. Thankfully, in the last 50 years we have had a major change in the way we provide emergency medical service.

And the winner is---

Mercury by a knockout.

Yay!

Been waiting for the next episode of Signal 30!
