The Presidential yacht

has just passed over the future route of the Hampton Roads Bridge/Tunnel that now carries Interstate 64 under the navigation channel. It looks like a corner of the island known as the Rip Raps is visible at extreme left. This was the site of a gun emplacement called Fort Wool and now marks the southern portal to the highway tunnel. The modern-day Norfolk Naval Station is located to the south beyond the Mayflower.

Mayflower was quite a yacht.
