About the Photos

Most of the photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs, 20 to 200 megabytes in size) from the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) Many were digitized by LOC contractors using a Sinar studio back. They are adjusted by your webmaster for contrast and color in Photoshop before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here.

PBS vs. PBS

Palestine Broadcasting, Public Broadcasting - what's the difference, right, when there's a chance to get in a dig. PBS is PBS. At least the airwaves are corporate-owned now, Jack; remember that, a big plus for your camp (maybe you've noticed).

Cantilever chair

That chair looks like a Marcel Breuer model 32. Nice.

Compare to 2007

It was probably less biased than our PBS of 2007.
