Not quite Big Ben, but ...

I'd bet there was a bell (maybe more than one) in that tower just below the clock. Those baffles not only serve to keep out the worst of the weather, but deflect sound down toward the street. Building demolished in 1969. Anybody know where the bell(s) went?
