Completed in 1867, Roebling's bridge in Cincinnati was the longest suspension bridge in the world at 1,057 feet. Later that year, he was selected to build an even longer suspension connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Lucky find
Someone posted a photo on Google Maps from almost the same angle. The king and queen are gone. The only thing that appears to still be there is the building with the dunce hat roof on the left.
