About the Photos

Our holdings include hundreds of glass and film negatives/transparencies that we've scanned ourselves; in addition, many other photos on this site were extracted from reference images (high-resolution tiffs) in the Library of Congress research archive. (To query the database click here.) They are adjusted, restored and reworked by your webmaster in accordance with his aesthetic sensibilities before being downsized and turned into the jpegs you see here. All of these images (including "derivative works") are protected by copyright laws of the United States and other jurisdictions and may not be sold, reproduced or otherwise used for commercial purposes without permission.

so young

DT Cocco
I have to update the site. My cousin Catherine was 70 when she died 2 weeks ago Aug. 2007 from a combination of things. Angelo drowned when he was 11 in 1951. Phyllis died in 1996 from Lung cancer at age 62. Just me and my cousin Maryann are left from the picture. I was born in 1940 and Maryann in 1942.

Henderson St.

DT Cocco
Henderson St. is located in Poughkeepsie, New York about 75 miles north of New York City on the Hudson river.

I'd like to know what city this Henderson street is located in.

so young

they were all so young! i would be interested to know what happened to the ones who died.
