In The Living Room

Golden Valley, Minnesota, probably about 1952. My dad, my older sister and me. My dad, as you can see, used to have quite a space between his front teeth. I always loved hats...and my big sis. My mother or one of my aunts was probably the photographer.

Brass Tools

The Brass Cleaning Tool Set was still the rage in the late Fifties-early Sixties. The shovel, the round broom, and the stoker - along with the handled-stand that provided a platform for the three tools. Note the four finial tipped shafts.

Golden Valley

Is that house anywhere near Schuller's Tavern? My band Turnstyle plays there once in a while.

Andirons

Did every 1950s living room have a fireplace set like that? Check out ours here. Not exactly the same, but close. Great shot! Reminds me I need to put up my cowboy outfit and hobby horse photo from around the same time.
