Hot work

The boys appear to be 'manning' cullet bins, waiting for the master blower to call for tempering of the dopp.

WV Glass

Glass was a big business in WV in those days. At the very least these kids learned the skilled trade of glassblowing, and probably later went on to work in the machine-blown glass trade.
