Snowball and Hiball

Snowball and Hiball

Snowball and Hiball, the fire horses in Iowa City, Iowa circa 1910.

Fire horses

It's cool to see these horses. My grandmother was of this era and told the story that she was terrified of horses for life because she was on the street at about five years of age when fire horses came racing by her in NY. Scared the heck out of her I guess.
