Macdonough Hall USNA

The setting is Macdonough Hall, twin of Dahlgren Hall, flanking Bancroft. McDonough housed the gymnasium and natatorium, you can spot gym equipment in the background in the photo.

One of the feats of our required gym class was to scramble up a rope to the top supporting beam up there in the blackness of this photo, including holding the rope with our feet and letting our hands go for a count by the grumpy gym coach. I always wondered what Sadist dreamed these things up.
