Location

I am fairly certain we are looking across Pennsylvania Avenue NW, where it intersects with 21st & Eye Streets toward what is now the Hotel Lombardy, but which I believe was an apartment building in 1947. The year seems accurate largely because of the 1947 Buick Sedanet prominent left of center, behind the man walking along the sidewalk. The streetcar is already old in this shot, but that series was still running. The Taxi is a 1946 GM model, I believe also a Buick.
