The Hudson Brothers: 1949

Previously in Calpella, my brother was being artistic, while back home I was waiting to be born a few days later. Three years have gone by and now he's back at our grandparents' home, minus one appendix and plus one little brother. Needless to say, we're not the musical Hudsons, nor are we related to Henry, but we did come hither via the family car back there, a 1948 Hudson Super Six. This was the same day I didn't fall in the well. Photo by my sister, scanned from the original "120" negative. View full size.

The Evidence in Your Cuffs

I remember rolling up the bottom of my blue jeans as your brother, and I guess all boys of that generation, did. When my mother unrolled them for the laundry she knew to hold them over a trashcan because out would fall grass, leaves, dirt, maybe some tree bark and a candy wrapper. I'm sure my mother was very happy when bell bottom pants became the fashion.

Groovy

I dig your brother's specs, man.
