Now Mitchell Hall at GWU

According to the GWU West End's historic designation nomination, the All States Hotel for Women at 514 19th Street NW was constructed in anticipation of the closing of the War Workers Hotel (near Union Station). It operated as a residential cooperative until 1965, when it became privately owned. Eventually acquired by GWU, it is now a residence hall known as Mitchell Hall. Its former ballroom (Mitchell theater) serves as the studio for the GWU Tango Club.
