"Then in 1977, after the old Forest Park Ballroom burned down, Wise cleared the property, built a new facility and moved the business to its current location, 1000 N. 3rd Avenue."

Ashes by Now

Forest Park ballroom at 1000 N 3rd Avenue in Marshalltown, was across the street from Riverview Park (site of the main public swimming pool). Rothstein snapped a couple of pictures there during his February 1940 meanderings in Iowa, from Davenport to Iowa City to Marshalltown to Grundy Center. After the ballroom burned, it was replaced in 1977 by a car dealership.
