Frederick Douglass spent his later years in Washington, where he became Marshal of the District of Columbia (a Presidential appointment). He bought and expanded a house in the Anacostia neighborhood; this is now the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, well worth a visit.
The Frederick Douglass housing project, later called Douglass Dwellings, was about a mile south in Anacostia, on some of the highest ground in the city. It was demolished in 2000, but the surrounding area is now known as Douglass, DC. It is a focus of gentrification.
He had better not have his fingers crossed and then claim it didn't count as he tags someone. I grew up with a friend who did that. As an adult, he became very successful.
