Franklin's obituary in the Baltimore Sun of May 2, 1975.

Best Wishes

I see that he is a Combat Engineer in the First Army. He will more than likely go to Europe with the First Army.

[He left Fort Bragg for officer candidate school at Fort Belvoir, where he became 2nd Lieut. Franklin Williams. He was then assigned to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. - Dave]
