Look at the truck...

Look at the truck on the left side, third one down. You see the axle grease leaking out and getting splashed on the tire? I guess when you have a job to do you don't have time to do repairs. "Get out there and run that copper!"

C&P

We've seen just about everything else at C&PT - are there any pictures of switchboards or switching equipment?

[Unfortunately no. At least not at C&P. - Dave]

Parking Garage

I didn't know they were invented before the '50s, but according to Wikipedia multi-story garages were around at this time. I always picture old cars parked outside in the dust. It took me aback to see a picture of an indoor garage, which is such a banal thing, with '20s vehicles. This picture is so ordinary that it could have been taken today, if it weren't for the trucks!

Fascinating

A very interesting website. Nicely done. I like the data you provide on many of the photos. History has a human face here.
