Buckhorn Cutoff - Aspen 1963

This is the "Cutoff" to the Buckhorn trail near the top of Ajax. It goes with the other Aspen winter 1962-63 pics submitted earlier. This favorite one was saved in a different place and I just now found it. 35mm Kodachrome slide. View full size.

Crunchless

Thanks for the picturesque words, Mattie, but instead of trudging and crunching I was on skis hopefully silently gliding (when I wasn't stopped to take pictures) :-)

Cold and clear

I can almost hear the crunch, crunch, crunch of the photographer trudging through the snow to get this beautiful shot.
