Looks like an early 20's Chevy running board was as good a place as any to take a portrait. This is my aunt Margaret innocently posing for posterity in San Luis Obispo, CA. Probably taken in 1925. View full size.
Here is aunt Margaret and my father, Don, a few years later with a new car in 1931. Taken in San Luis Obispo, CA, when the blue collar working class (my grandfather drove an oil delivery truck for Union Oil and grandmother didn't work) could afford to build their own homes and buy new cars and travel to Yosemite for vacations.
