Edward (Ned) would become publisher of the Washington Post; his wife, the mining heiress Evalyn Walsh McLean, was the last private owner of the Hope Diamond. 1910 Postcard photo sent to my great-grandmother. This photo is still in our family collection. The back reads: "The dog whose picture is on the other side is lost in your neighborhood. If you find any trace of him let us know and recieve a reward. Forever, I P Schear, Geneva, Ind." It is addressed to: "Mail Carrier R.F.D.I.
