Morticia, Gomez, and Ophelia?

The trio in the foreground could be the first half of a cartoon by Charles Addams. The second half of the cartoon might show Fester steering a bulldozer toward the half-buried woman.

Sandy is great

And I love the fact that it’s not just another woman but also a man covering her up with sand. But I’m afraid I am captivated forever by the woman sitting closer to the waterline, on the right, looking straight at us till the end of time, and raising her hand in a tentative wave. A new Shorpy goddess!
