Columbus, Georgia, circa 1962. Our second look at the Martinique Motor Hotel, last seen here from different spatial and seasonal vantages. 4x5 inch acetate negative. View full size.
The corner building is apparently a later addition (and explains the differing info on postcards). How much later I guess we can judge by the cars ... who knew "dating assist" was an AAA service ?
The architecture closely resembles my high school (also built in the 60s). The school had a few more windows -- not many, but a few.
1957 Cadillac; 1959 Ford station wagon; 1960 Ford; ? Lincoln Continental; Chevy Corvair; 1957 Chevy; '58 Mercury station wagon; '58 Chevy; maybe a Cadillac behind the bushes; '56 Oldsmobile; '59 Chevy station wagon.
[The Lincoln would be a 1961 or later model; that's a 1959 Mercury wagon; the car next to the '58 Chevy is a 1962 Chevrolet. - Dave]
