Great buildings

I love this photo! What are the two buildings, I wonder? A very small house on the left, probably. Is the log cabin a kitchen? At first I wondered about its being a barn, but there is no fence around it. The house has no basement, not even a foundation. Might still have been cold in the winter, but maybe Texas doesn't get all that cold.

#4 Is On The Way

Judging by Grandma's dress, #4 will soon be joining the family.

I can't tell what the child in front has. Is it a pull toy? A kitten on a string? Any ideas?
